THE RANGE OF WINE ON OFFER
There are 2 wine ranges on offer: “Tradition” and “Prestige”.
The Tradition range respects wine-making habits and customs, as implied in the name. In this, as with the Prestige range, it meets the criteria of sustainable agriculture, which are to reduce the negative impact of agricultural practices on the environment. Treatments are limited to those that are strictly necessary. These wines are mainly vinified in mirror-finish stainless steel (for greater hygiene and less consumption of rinse water).
The packaging, a label characteristic of the range and a silver cap, makes the range easy to identify. The Tradition range of still wines is packaged in light Burgundy- shaped bottles the color of dead leaves and the 44 X 24 mm natural corks come from Spain, 2nd category.
The Tradition range includes the following products:
The Prestige range comes from selected vines: either from a member wine-grower (offering the best vinification of grapes grown under the best uniform conditions), or from vieilles vignes (old vines). To be classed as “vieilles vignes” by the Cave, vines must have been planted at least 40 years ago..
The wine is partially vinified for 6 to 8 months in oak barrels originating from French forests. The wood softens the tannins and brings out the best in the wine. The vieilles vignes are slightly more oaked than the Domaines.
The packaging, a label characteristic of the range and a silver cap, makes the range easy to identify. The wine is packaged in antique-colored heavy Burgundy- shaped bottles and the 44 X 24 mm natural corks come from Spain, 2nd category.
